Pinkstertoernooi
The Pinkstertoernooi is an annual volleybal tournament at Pentecost and is held in the Noord Brabant village Sint Anthonis. During the tournament, which is organized by the local volleyball club Activia, the Open Dutch Championship Volleyball On Grass is played (an official title of the NeVoBo).
The Pinkstertoernooi was first organized in 1957 as a regional volleyballtournament. It developed into a major international event with teams from all over the world in a very short time span. During the `80s and `90s the qualifying games competed for a place in the main tournament, were played on Saturday of the Whitsun weekend. These qualification rounds are no longer played and the Saturday is now used for the youth tournament where they compete for the title: Open Dutch Youth Championship..
For several years, the tournament is also a place where the beach volleyball tournament at first division level is played.
And this year, for the first time, also youth qualification beach volleyball on Saturday.
The evenings of the Whitsun weekend filled with the Whitsun Party. Apart from a fair at the town`s square "De Brink" there will also be concerts with live bands.

Register on Sunday morning at the tournament site in the entrance tent between 8.45 am and 9.30 pm. (no longer on Saturday).
